Shipping to Canada

We offer shipping to Canada, but the shipping policies are a little different for our Canadian customers. Shipping internationally is a bit more complex than domestic shipping, and we want you to know what to expect.  We do not ship tiles to Canada, however, due to the tricky nature of shipping them.

We offer shipping to Canada via USPS First Class International, which we’ve found to offer the best balance of reliability and cost. A flat rate of $17.50 USD will be applied to all Canadian orders.

Please note that we do not collect or charge any taxes, duties, or import fees. These may be assessed by Canadian customs and are the responsibility of the recipient. While many customers receive their orders without additional charges, there have been cases where packages are unexpectedly handed off to a carrier like UPS, which may result in extra fees for brokerage or duties.

Unfortunately, once your package leaves our hands, we have no control over the shipping process or any additional charges that may arise. We recommend being informed about potential import fees before placing your order.

If you have any questions or concerns about international shipping, feel free to contact us before ordering—we’re happy to help!

We have gathered some information about how to avoid excessive brokerage fees by self-clearing your shipment. We have no direct experience with this, but we wanted to provide some resources for you in case you are hit with unexpected fees.

If handed off to UPS, they will leave a notification on your door or by email.

  1. Note your tracking number and ask UPS for the cargo control number and the location of the package, which is usually the nearest UPS warehouse.
  2. Visit your local Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and bring:
    1. Government Issued Photo ID
    2. Your tracking number
    3. The purchase receipt email from us
    4. The cargo control number from UPS
    5. A form of payment for the duties
  3. The CBSA will have you fill out a B15 Casual Goods Accounting Document
  4. UPS will then deliver your package without the extra brokerage fees.
